Scope
This standard specifies the structure, model, technical indicators, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, transportation and storage requirements for optical fiber ribbons used in terminal optical components. This standard applies to optical fiber ribbons used in information transmission equipment and terminal optical components in networks.
