This part of GB/T9771 specifies the rounding rules, requirements and test methods for non-dispersion-shifted single-mode optical fiber with extended wavelength range (category B1.3 single-mode optical fiber). This section applies to subcategory D of category B1.3 single-mode optical fiber used in communication optical cables and other information transmission equipment. Note 1: The fiber size parameters and transmission characteristics in this section refer to ITUTG. 652 (2016) in G. 652. The technical indicators of Class D optical fiber and the mechanical and environmental performance of optical fiber refer to the provisions of Class B1.3 optical fiber in IEC60793250:2015. Note 2: The zero dispersion wavelength of B1.3 type optical fiber is near 1310nm. In addition to being used in the 1310nm and 1550nm wavelength regions, it also extends to the 1360nm ~ 1530nm wavelength region. Note 3: For the technical requirements of subcategory C in category B1.3 single-mode optical fiber, please refer to GB/T9771.3—2008. Note 4: See Appendix A for the comparison relationship between GB/T9771 and the optical fiber classification in ITU-T standards and IEC standards.
