Scope
This part of GB/T9771 specifies the classification, rounding rules, requirements and test methods for category B1.2 cutoff wavelength shifted single-mode optical fiber. This section applies to category B1.2 single-mode optical fibers used in communication optical cables and other information transmission equipment. Among them, B1.2a, B1.2b, B1.2c, and B1.2d are more suitable for submarine communication optical cables, and B1.2e is suitable for land long-distance trunk optical cables. Note: The fiber size parameters and transmission characteristics in this section refer to ITUTG. 654 (2016) in G. For the specifications of Category 654 optical fiber characteristics, the mechanical and environmental performance of optical fibers refer to the provisions of Category B1.2 optical fibers in IEC60793250:2015.
