Scope
This part of GB/T9771 specifies the rounding rules, requirements and test methods for non-dispersion shifted single-mode optical fiber (B1.1 category single-mode optical fiber). This section applies to subcategory B of B1.1 single-mode optical fiber used in communication optical cables and other information transmission equipment. Note 1: The fiber size parameters and transmission characteristics in this section refer to ITUTG. 652 (2016) in G. 652. The technical indicators of Class B optical fiber and the mechanical and environmental performance of optical fiber refer to the provisions of Class B1.1 optical fiber in IEC60793250:2015. Note 2: The zero-dispersion wavelength of B1.1 single-mode fiber is near 1310nm. It can be used in either the 1310nm wavelength region or the 1550nm wavelength region. Note 3: For the technical requirements of subcategory A in category B1.1 single-mode optical fiber, please refer to GB/T9771.1-2008. Note 4: See Appendix A for the comparison relationship between GB/T9771 and the optical fiber classification in ITU-T standards and IEC standards.
