Scope

This part of GB 26255 specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and abbreviations, materials for mechanical pipe fittings used for connecting PE pipes and metal pipes or pipe fittings in gas polyethylene piping systems with a nominal outer diameter not greater than 63 mm and meeting the requirements of GB 15558 , general requirements, performance requirements, test methods, signs and labels and packaging, transportation, storage, etc. This standard applies to steel-plastic conversion pipe fittings whose load-bearing elements are metal parts, and specifies the load-resistance capacity of their ends. This part stipulates that steel-plastic conversion pipe fittings and PE pipes are used together in the gas transmission system, including steel-plastic straight joints, elbows, flanges, three-way steel-plastic conversion pipe fittings, etc., and the joints are permanent or detachable. Steel-plastic conversion pipe fittings and metal pipe fittings or pipe fittings assembly can be threaded, flanged or welded.
