Scope: This part of GB 3836 specifies the special requirements for the construction, testing and marking of electrical equipment whose equipment protection level (EPL) is Ga. Guarantees a high level of protection for electrical equipment in the event of a rare failure or two independent failures within the operating parameters specified by the manufacturer. This section also applies to electrical equipment installed across two areas that require different levels of protection. This standard also applies to equipment installed in places requiring a lower level of protection, but which are electrically connected (associated equipment) to equipment with a protection level of Ga.
