This part of GB 3836 specifies the technical requirements, process methods and inspections for the repair, overhaul, restoration and modification of electrical equipment used in explosive atmospheres with explosion-proof certificates. This section does not apply to equipment maintenance, except when repair and maintenance are inseparable, there is no provision for cable entry systems that require updating when reinstalling equipment. This section does not apply to potting type "m", oil-immersed type "o" and sand-filled type "q". This section assumes good workmanship practice is used at all times.
