This standard specifies the safety and hygiene requirements for slicers. This standard applies to movable slicers equipped with electric circular cutting blades with a diameter greater than 150 mm and reciprocating feed slides. They are generally used in shops, restaurants, supermarkets and canteens, etc. Such slicers include: - horizontal feed slicer (manual operation: see Figure 1; or motorized operation: see Figure 13); - gravity feed slicer (manual operation: see Figure 2; or motorized operation). This standard is applicable to slicers produced after the implementation of this standard. This standard does not involve slicers for industrial use. This type of slicer is fixedly installed in a certain position and is usually used in meat processing plants and meat processing plants.
