Scope

This document specifies an overview of microtome, description of relevant hazards, technical requirements, verification of measures, inspection rules and information on use. This document applies to movable slicers fitted with motorized circular cutting blades with a diameter greater than 150 mm and a reciprocating feed slide. Note 1: Generally used in catering industries such as stores, restaurants, supermarkets and canteens. Note 2: This type of slicer includes: --- horizontal feed slicer (manual operation: see Figure 1; or automatic operation: see Figure 13); --- gravity feed slicer (manual operation: see Figure 2; or automated operations). This document does not apply to slicers for industrial use. Note 3: This type of slicer is fixedly installed in a certain position, and is usually used in meat processing plants and meat processing plants.
