This standard specifies the hygienic requirements for food machinery for humans and artificially raised animals, analyzes the possible dangers caused by the use of such machinery, and puts forward requirements for design measures and use information. This standard does not deal with health risks caused by operators using machinery. This standard applies to food processing machinery and equipment, including complete sets of food processing machinery and equipment. Appendix B provides information on complete food processing machinery and equipment to which this standard applies. The basic concepts covered in this standard are applicable to food processing machinery and equipment with similar risks. This standard does not apply to machinery and equipment produced before the publication of this standard.
