1.1 This standard specifies the electrical and mechanical properties of round concentric stranded overhead conductors. The round wire concentric stranded overhead conductor is composed of any metal single wire as follows: a) Aluminum and aluminum alloy wire LY9 hard aluminum wire, conforming to GB/T 17048-1997; LHA2 type high-strength aluminum alloy wire, conforming to JB/T 8134-1997; LHA1 type high-strength aluminum alloy wire, in line with JB/T 8134-1997. b) Galvanized steel wire for overhead stranded wire, in line with GB/T 3428-2002 GlA or GIB type ordinary strength steel wire; G2A or G2B type high strength steel wire; G3A type extra high strength steel wire. c) Aluminum clad steel wire, in line with GB/T 17937-1999 LB1A or LB1B type aluminum clad steel wire; LB2 type aluminum clad steel wire. 1.2 See Table 1 for the models and names of various strung concentric stranded overhead conductors covered by this standard.
