This standard applies to galvanized steel wires for overhead stranded wire structure and (or) reinforcement. It includes all single wires in various constructions, with single wire diameters (including plating) ranging from 1.25mm to 5.50mm. In order to meet the needs of stranded wire users, there are three strength grades of steel wire to choose from: ordinary strength, high strength and extra high strength, which are represented by grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3 respectively. There are 2 grades of galvanized coating: Grade A and Grade B. The galvanized layer is expressed by the mass of the smallest zinc layer per unit area. See Appendix C for the product model representation method of galvanized steel wire. 1]
