Scope

This standard applies to two types of aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy wires with different mechanical and electrical properties for the production of stranded wires for overhead power transmission. It also specifies the mechanical and electrical properties of aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy wires with diameters ranging from 1.50mm to 4.50mm. These two models are LHA1 type and LHA2 type^(1).
