Scope: This standard specifies the method for dispersing pigments and extenders using a three-roll mill. The test results of this method and the possible test products are dispersed through the corresponding production equipment to draw conclusions about their dispersibility. This section is to be used in conjunction with the evaluation method described in GB/T 21867, using an agreed high-viscosity, volatile-free paint matrix. This part should be read together with GB/T 21868.1-2008. This method is limited to high viscosity abrasives. To improve the accuracy of the method, it is recommended that the dispersion procedure (process) of the test pigment and the agreed reference pigment be carried out at the same temperature. The results obtained by this method should not be compared with the dispersion results obtained by other dispersion methods.
