Scope: This standard specifies the method of dispersing pigments and extenders using automatic flat mills. This method is suitable for the comparison of a small number of samples in the quality control of pigments. This section is to be used in conjunction with the evaluation method described in GB/T 21867, using an agreed high-viscosity binder system without volatile solvents. This part should be read together with GB/T 21868.1-2008. This method is limited to high viscosity abrasives. The results obtained are not comparable to dispersion results obtained using other dispersion methods.
