Scope: This standard specifies plug-in connectors (hereinafter referred to as connectors) used to connect wiring and cords, or to connect cords to each other, in electrical circuits with a frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz and 250V AC or less. However, the operating ambient temperature shall be 40°C or less.
