This standard specifies the sizes of general metric threads (M) with standard chevrons specified in JIS B 020S-1, selected for use in threaded parts, within the nominal diameter range of 1 mm to 64 mm. These selected sizes are recommended for general industrial use. These screws are selected from JIS B 0205-2. For the designation of screws, refer to JIS B 0209-1.
