Scope: This part of GB/Z 20177 defines the specifications for the transmission of control network protocols over IP channels based on tunneling technology. In the tunneling mechanism, control network data packets are encapsulated in IP packets. The purpose of this section is to ensure the interoperability between various LONWORKS control network devices using IP channels for communication. This part applies to the design, manufacture, integration, installation and maintenance of automation control systems and products.
