- This International Standard defines a system management function. It provides application processes to interact in a centralized or decentralized management environment, so as to be used for system management defined in GB/T 9387.4. This standard defines state management functions, which consist of service and category definitions. This standard is located at the application layer of GB 9387 and is defined according to the model provided by GB/T 17176. The functions of system management are described in GB/T 17142. This standard -- establishes user requirements for status management functions; -- establishes a model that links services and category definitions provided by this function with user requirements; -- defines services provided by this function; -- defines according to GB/T 17175.4 Compiled generic attribute types, notification types and parameters; --Specify the protocols necessary to provide services; --Define the relationship between services and management operations and notifications; --Specify that other standards using these generic definitions should follow --Define the relationship with other system management functions; --Specify the consistency requirements. This standard --does not define any characteristics intended to provide any implementation of state management functions; --does not specify the manner in which management is accomplished by users of state management functions; --does not define any characteristics that result in interactions using state management functions; -- Services necessary for establishing, normal release, and abnormal release management associations are not specified; -- the definition of further notification types is not excluded; -- managed objects are not defined.
