Scope

This standard defines a system management function for application processes to interact in a centralized or decentralized management environment, so as to be used for system management defined in GB/T 9387.4. This International Standard defines object management functions consisting of services, functional units and generic definitions. This standard is located at the application layer of GB 9387 and is defined according to the model provided by GB/T 17176. The function of system management function is described by GB/T 17142. This standard -- establishes user requirements for object management functions; -- establishes a model that links services and category definitions provided by this function with user requirements; -- defines services provided by this function; -- defines according to GB/T 17175.4 - the types and parameters of the generic notifications prepared; - specify the protocols necessary to provide the service; - define the relationship between the service and the management operations and notifications; - specify the requirements to be followed by other standards using these generic definitions; --Define the relationship with other system management functions; --Specify consistency requirements. This standard -- does not define any characteristics intended to provide an implementation of object management functions; -- does not prescribe the manner in which management is to be accomplished by users of object management functions; -- does not define any characteristics that result in interactions using object management functions; -- The services necessary for the establishment, normal release and abnormal release management associations are not specified; -- the definition of further notification types is not excluded; -- the managed objects are not defined.
