This part of GB 13539 applies to fuses equipped with enclosed current-limiting fuse-links with a rated breaking capacity of not less than 6 kA. The fuse is used to protect AC power frequency circuits with a nominal voltage not exceeding 1000 V or DC circuits with a nominal voltage not exceeding 1500 V. "The continuation of this part of the standard includes supplementary requirements for fuses used in special conditions. IEC 60947-3 "Low-voltage switchgear and control equipment Part 3: Switches, isolators, disconnectors and fuse combinations Fuses used in electrical appliances shall also comply with the requirements of this Part. The purpose of this Part is to specify the characteristics of fuses or fuse parts (fuse bases, fuse carriers, fuses) if they are interchangeable (including dimensions etc.), they can be interchanged by fuses or fuse parts having the same characteristics. For this purpose, this standard deals in particular with the following aspects: -- Fuse characteristics: ? rated value; ? insulation; ? normal use ? Dissipated power and accepted dissipated power; ? Time/current characteristics; ? Breaking capacity;2characteristics. --Type test for verification of fuse characteristics. -- Fuse sign.
