Scope

This standard applies to fuses equipped with enclosed current-limiting fuse-links with a rated breaking capacity of not less than 6 kA. The fuse is used to protect AC power frequency circuits with a nominal voltage not exceeding 1000 V or DC circuits with a nominal voltage not exceeding 1500 V. Specific relevant parts of this part of the series of standards include those supplementary requirements for fuses used under special conditions.
