Scope: This standard specifies the marking codes for resistors and capacitors, and the index for dielectric materials and electrodes of plastic film and paper dielectric capacitors. The codes specified in Chapter 3 of this standard give the color codes for fixed resistors. This code is used for the E6~E192 series values stipulated in GB/T 2471-1995 "Priority Number System for Resistors and Capacitors". The code specified in Chapter 4 of this standard systematically gives the method of marking resistance value and capacitance with letters and numbers. The code specified in Chapter 5 of this standard systematically gives the method of using a letter to mark the allowable deviation of resistance value and capacitance. The codes specified in Chapter 6 of this standard systematically give the method of marking the date of manufacture of resistors and capacitors with letters and numbers. The code (index) specified in Chapter 7 of this standard gives the code of the dielectric material.
