Scope: This standard specifies the marking codes for resistors and capacitors. The color code specified in Clause 2 is used for fixed resistors. These codes and color codes are used to represent the E6 to E192 series values stipulated in IEC63 "Resistor and Capacitor Priority Number System". The code specified in Article 3 systematically gives the method of marking the resistance value and capacitance with letters and numbers. The code specified in Article 4 systematically gives a method of marking the resistance value and capacitance tolerance with a letter. The code specified in Article 5 systematically gives the method of marking the date of manufacture of resistors and capacitors with letters and numbers.
