This standard specifies the structure, size, mechanical and electrical characteristics of pin-type porcelain insulators for high-voltage lines. This standard applies to pin-type porcelain insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) for AC overhead power lines with a nominal voltage of 10 kV and below and a frequency not higher than 100 Hz. The installation location of the insulator is the area where the ambient temperature is -40 ℃ ~ +40 ℃ and the altitude does not exceed 1000 m. This standard is not applicable to the insulators used in the environment where the ceramic parts and metal accessories of the insulator are severely corroded or the performance of the insulator is reduced.
