- This standard specifies the technical conditions for the knock test reference fuel isooctane used in the determination of gasoline knock performance. The products covered by this standard are suitable for use as the first reference fuel in the determination of octane number by gasoline motor method and research method, as well as isooctane as standard reagent and special solvent in relevant standard test methods.
