Scope

This standard specifies the nomenclature of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride window molding compounds. This naming method is named according to the material characteristic properties such as unplasticized polyvinyl chloride type and Vicat softening temperature, Charpy notched impact strength, elastic modulus (tensile or bending). This nomenclature can also provide descriptions for the physical shape, use, process method, additives and colorants of the material. This standard applies to vinyl chloride homopolymers and vinyl chloride copolymers containing at least 50% vinyl chloride copolymers, or blends with other polymers, but with polyvinyl chloride as the main component of powder and granular window molding compounds. This standard does not apply to foam plastics.
