Scope: This standard specifies the test methods and performance criteria for the steering system used to evaluate the steering ability of rubber-tyred earth-moving machines with a driving speed greater than 20 km/h measured according to ISO 6014. This standard applies to bulldozers, loaders, backhoe loaders, excavators, dump trucks, scrapers and motor graders fitted with mechanical steering, power assisted steering or power steering as defined in ISO 6165. This standard does not apply to rollers, compactors or pipelayers.
