Scope
This standard specifies the electrical and mechanical properties of concentric stranded overhead conductors (see Figure 1) containing one or more self-supporting strands of aluminum or aluminum alloy wires. The wire is composed of any metal single wire as follows: a) duralumin wire conforming to GB/T 17048-2009, named LY9, abbreviated as L; b) aluminum-magnesium-silicon conforming to GB/T 23308-2009 Alloy round wire, named LHA1 or LHA2; c) heat-resistant aluminum alloy wire in accordance with GB/T 30551-2014, named NRLH1, NRLH2, NRLH3, NRLH4; d) Class 1 strength galvanized in accordance with IEC 60888:1987 steel wire, designated G1A or GIB; e) galvanized steel wire of strength class 2 according to IEC 60888:1987, designated G2A or G2B; f) galvanized steel wire of strength class 3 according to IEC 60888:1987, designated G3A ;g) Aluminum-clad steel wire in accordance with IEC 61232:1993, named LB20A, LB27, LB30 or LB40. This standard applies to concentrically stranded overhead conductors containing one or more stranded layers of aluminum or aluminum alloy wires of the various metal combinations specified in Table 1.
