This standard specifies the electrical and mechanical properties, tests, packaging, etc. of aluminum-clad steel wires for electrical purposes. This standard is applicable to electrician's round hard-drawn bare aluminum-clad steel wires with different electrical and mechanical properties before stranding. The diameter range is shown in Table 4. This standard includes the reinforcement core and all aluminum cladding applied to aluminum stranded wires. Steel strands of aluminum clad steel wire. This standard does not cover redrawn wire.
