This part of GB/T 7247 provides manufacturers, testing agencies, safety personnel and others with practical guidance for measuring or analyzing radiation in accordance with GB 7247.1-2012 to establish laser energy emission levels. The measurement procedures described in this section are intended as guidelines for the classification of laser products. Other programs are also acceptable if they are better or more suitable. Since some parameters for calculating the accessible emission limit depend on other measured values, this section provides information for calculating the accessible emission limit (AEL) and maximum permissible exposure (PME). This section is intended to be applied to lasers, including extended light sources and laser arrays. Users of this section should note that, relative to more stringent methods, this section may produce more conservative results for extended light source viewing conditions.
