Scope

This standard specifies the classification, designation method and code, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test Methods, inspection rules and packaging, marks and quality certificates. This standard applies to steel strips for oil and natural gas pipelines produced in accordance with ISO 3183, GB/T 9711 and API Spec 5L, as well as steel strips for other fluid transportation welded pipes with similar requirements.
