Scope

This standard applies to all kinds of steel wire ropes for hoisting machinery listed in Appendix A (Supplementary Part) and stipulates their scrapping standards. The purpose is to make the steel wire ropes of hoisting machinery have sufficient safety factors when handling goods before being scrapped. It is dangerous not to discover that the wire rope has reached the scrap standard in time.
