Scope
This standard applies to industrial submerged arc furnaces, such as submerged arc furnaces used to produce ferrosilicon. The clauses on electrical parameters in this part are formulated for three-phase submerged arc furnaces with only one electrode for each phase. When this standard applies to single-phase submerged arc furnaces or three-phase submerged arc furnaces with multiple electrodes per phase, these provisions shall be modified accordingly. Note: All electrical tests shall exclude the influence of reactive power compensation and (or) voltage stabilization devices. If these devices cannot be disconnected during the test, the items in this section concerning the main circuit still apply, except that the reactive power compensation device and (or) voltage stabilization device are also put into operation at the same time, and the applicable The supply network and the impact of such installations. The purpose of this standard is to standardize the test methods for measuring the basic parameters and technical characteristics of submerged arc furnaces. The test items given in this section are not mandatory and binding. This standard does not contain test methods for all tests that can be performed for technical and economic evaluation of submerged arc furnaces. To select and add to the test items required for technical and economic evaluation of submerged arc furnaces, if necessary, supplement regulations in product standards or negotiate with manufacturers and users.
