This standard specifies the marking, materials, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of round soda-lime glass sight glasses for pressure vessels. This standard applies to sight glasses made by physical reinforcement and tempering processes and used for observation holes in pressure vessels (or pipelines). The medium is a continuously flowing fluid with a temperature resistance of 150°C, but is not limited to use below ambient temperatures. For alkaline solutions, the maximum operating temperature does not exceed 100°C.
