Scope

This standard specifies the test methods and procedures for determining the thermal shock resistance and thermal shock strength of laboratory glass instruments. This standard does not apply to quartz glass instruments and soda-lime glass containers. The thermal shock test method for soda-lime glass containers is based on GB/T 4547.
