Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, quality assessment procedures and signs, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of general-purpose serial impact dot-matrix printers. This standard applies to general-purpose serial impact dot-matrix printers (hereinafter referred to as products). This standard is the basis for formulating product standards. Special serial impact dot-matrix printers can be implemented by reference.
