Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for internal combustion engine crankshafts, camshafts and finished gears such as gas distribution and oil supply mechanisms. This standard applies to timing gears for reciprocating internal combustion engines with a cylinder diameter less than or equal to 200 mm. It also applies to oil pump transmission gears, compressor pump gears, power steering pump gears and idler gears for reciprocating internal combustion engines with a cylinder diameter less than or equal to 200 mm. wait.
