This part specifies the minimum requirements for materials, design, inspection, testing, manufacturing, packaging, transportation, storage, quality assurance and marking of iodine adsorbers (Type I). This section applies to iodine adsorbers related to nuclear safety in air purification systems of nuclear facilities. Iodine adsorbers that are not related to nuclear safety can also be implemented accordingly.
