- This standard specifies the method for determining the purification coefficient of iodine adsorbers in nuclear air purification systems using radioactive methyl iodide. This standard is applicable to on-site testing of iodine adsorbers in nuclear air purification systems, as well as to performance testing of single iodine adsorbers in manufacturing plants, and to ventilation systems where the absolute air pressure is less than 1.4×10Pa.
