- Scope
- In addition to the requirements specified in GB/T 18268.1, this part of GB/T 18268 specifies in more detail the test configuration, working conditions and performance criteria for transmitters with integrated or remote signal conditioning. This standard applies only to transmitters characterized by a transformation function, which, with the assistance of an auxiliary energy source, converts a non-electrical quantity into a process-related electrical signal and outputs the signal at one or more ports. This part contains transmitters for measuring electrochemical quantities and biomass. Transmitters covered by this standard can be powered by AC or DC voltage and/or batteries, or have an internal power source. The transmitter described in this standard consists of at least the following parts: one or more elements that convert non-electrical input quantities into electrical quantities; transmission links that transmit electrical quantities to signal conditioning elements; convert electrical quantities into process-related electrical quantities; The signal conditioning unit of the signal; the housing that encapsulates all or part of the above components. Transmitters described in this standard may also include the following: a communication and control unit; a display unit; control elements such as keys, buttons, switches, etc.; clearly defined transmitter output signals that can be used as input signals (e.g. : switch signal, alarm signal); with integrated or remote signal conditioning transmitter. The manufacturer shall specify the expected use environment of the transmitter, and select the corresponding test level from the specification of GB/T 18268.1. The appendix of this part gives additional requirements and exceptions for special transmitters.
