Scope

This document covers industrial systems and equipment intended to perform safety functions as specified in SIL1 to SIL3 of IEC61326. The electromagnetic environment included in this series of product standards refers to indoor and outdoor industrial sites, and according to the requirements of the processing industry, especially chemical/petrochemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, use the mitigation measures given in Appendix C. The difference between the electromagnetic environment covered by this document and the general industrial environment (see GB/T18268.31-2022) is to implement mitigation measures for electromagnetic phenomena, so as to obtain a specific electromagnetic environment that has been tested to prove the test value. The specific electromagnetic environment for industrial use has the following representative characteristics: --- Restricted access to industrial areas; --- Restricted use of mobile transmitters; --- Dedicated cables for power, control, signal and communication; --- Separation between power, control, signal and communication cables; - factory buildings mainly constructed of metal frames; - overvoltage/lightning protection with appropriate measures; - pipe heating driven by AC power System; --- There is no high-voltage substation near sensitive areas; --- There are low-power equipment using ISM frequency according to CISPR11; --- Competent personnel; --- Periodic maintenance of equipment and systems; --- Equipment and systems assembly and installation guide. According to the provisions of IEC61508 or IEC61511, the equipment and systems that have been certified or previously used are not within the scope of this document. Fire alarm systems and security alarm systems to protect buildings are outside the scope of this document.
