- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and safety warning information of water-cooled four-stroke diesel engines for marine propulsion. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of water-cooled four-stroke diesel engines for marine propulsion, and also applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of water-cooled four-stroke diesel engines for generator sets in electric propulsion systems.
