Scope
This part of GB/T 25758 specifies a method for verifying focal spot sizes greater than 0.5 mm for industrial X-ray systems with tube voltages up to 500 kV using sharp-edged radiographic negatives. The image quality and resolution of an X-ray image largely depend on the characteristics of the focal point. The focal imaging quality is based on the two-dimensional intensity distribution at the target plane. The marginal method is particularly effective for verifying focus under field conditions, and for detecting changes in focus. This method cannot be used for absolute measurement of focal spot size.
