Scope

This standard is equivalent to the international standard IEC 920-1990 "General requirements and safety requirements for ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps". This standard discusses the general requirements and safety requirements for ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps; the first part describes the general requirements, and the second part is the safety requirements. See the IEC 921 standard (GB/T 14044) for the performance requirements of this type of ballast. Note: The safety requirements are aimed at ensuring that the electrical equipment manufactured according to this standard will not cause harm to people, livestock and property under the conditions of proper installation and maintenance in the original use occasion.
