- This part specifies the scope, terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of household and similar indoor heaters. This section applies to heaters with a rated voltage of single-phase appliances not exceeding 250V and other appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 480V. They can be portable, fixed, standing or embedded heaters. This section does not apply to: ——heaters installed within the building structure; ——central heating systems; ——heaters connected to air ducts; ——wallpaper, blankets, curtains or pipes equipped with soft electric heating elements; ——Household thermal storage indoor heater; ——Bathroom electric heater (bath heater).
