Scope: This part of GB/T 21097 specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements and markings of the safe service life and recycling of household and similar electrical appliances. This part applies to household and similar electrical appliances sold, used and disposed of in China. Note 1: The provisions of this part apply to products and their manufacturers including distance sales and electronic sales, and have nothing to do with sales techniques. Manufacturers and distributors using distance selling and electronic sales channels should implement this part in the same form and in the same way to avoid the obsolescence and recycling of products sold through distance selling or electronic sales in this part by distributors of other channels management costs. Note 2: This section should include all household and similar electrical appliances used by consumers, as well as those electrical appliances for special purposes that may become municipal waste.
