Scope

This part of GB/T 12010 specifies the method for measuring the intrinsic viscosity of polyvinyl alcohol material aqueous solution with an Ostwald viscometer and calculating the average degree of polymerization of polyvinyl alcohol material from the intrinsic viscosity. This section applies to the determination of the average degree of polymerization of polyvinyl alcohol materials with a degree of alcoholysis greater than 70% (mol fraction).
