Scope: This part of GB/T 24809 specifies the special requirements for jib cranes defined in GB/T 6974.1 on the overall design and arrangement of the mechanism, the selection and design requirements of components, and the instructions for manufacturing, assembly, installation and testing. The general requirements for crane mechanisms are in accordance with GB/T 24809.1. This part of GB/T 24809 does not include the rules for checking calculation of bearing capacity under different limit states (such as yield strength, fatigue, wear, etc.).
