Scope: This standard specifies the basic requirements for passenger aerial ropeways and passenger ground cable cars in terms of safety management, service organization, service sanitation, service environment, service facilities, equipment guarantee, and service quality supervision. This standard applies to passenger aerial ropeways and passenger ground cable cars operating within the territory of the People's Republic of China. Passenger towing ropeways can be implemented by reference. This standard does not apply to non-public transportation ropeways such as dedicated commuter ropeways (cable cars).
